How Do I Care for My Rope Gear?

To keep your rope gear ready for every adventure, a little care goes a long way. Each piece is handcrafted with love and made to be a special part of your time outdoors. Treat it with care and it will be with you through many meaningful walks and outings.

Here are a few simple tips:

Spot clean when needed. Use a damp cloth and mild soap to wipe away everyday dirt. Avoid bleach or harsh cleaners, as they can weaken the rope or damage the hardware.

Hand wash for deeper cleans. If needed, soak the gear in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent. Scrub lightly with your hands or a soft brush, then rinse thoroughly.

Air dry only. Lay flat to dry in a shaded, well-ventilated spot. Avoid dryers or direct heat sources, which can affect the rope’s durability.

Check before each use. Give your gear a quick once-over to make sure everything is secure and in good shape before heading out.

I absolutely love how light and easy these collars are! There’s minimal hardware and they’re built to last! The climbing rope is super durable and reliable! There are no buckles or clips to have to worry about breakage or failure!

I also love the little area for you to attach your dog's tags, so that it does not interfere with the area where you attach your leash. I recently received the rope slip collar from Northtail Inc. for my German Shepherd, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment I took it out of the package, I could tell this collar was built with quality in mind.

It complements my German Shepherd’s coat beautifully and gives off a professional, polished look whether we’re out for a casual walk or heading out on a hike. The metal hardware is minimal yet solid, with a subtle branding touch that adds to the high-end feel.

Build Quality:
This collar is made from thick, durable rope that feels strong enough to handle even the most powerful pullers — which is saying something if you’ve ever walked a determined GSD. The stitching and finishing are top-notch, with no loose ends or fraying. After weeks of daily use, it still looks brand new.
